Report from the Committee

Our increasingly successful Intramural scheme is such an integral and important part of the University of Portsmouth Netball Club.  Over the past few years, the Intramural scheme has become a major success, boasting a fantastic number of dedicated girls who have helped develop our club into the respected and well awarded club we offer to our University students.

With the encouragement and guidance of past Social Secretaries, Intramural players are always keen to attend our weekly social events, creating fantastic club cohesion with members of our BUCS squads. Our girls are provided with good facilities and a great coaching team; all there to benefit them as a player. We strive to help our players progress into the best players they can be, creating a fun but effective training atmosphere.

Being an Intramural netball player is something to be proud of. It is often thought that sportsmen and women in other clubs who may not be chosen to represent our University on a regional level may feel disheartened at the thought of not playing to a weekly BUCS standard. However, the University of Portsmouth Netball Club is keen to ensure that all our members are valued equally. We are always keeping a keen eye on girls who may potentially progress within our club and we urge you to stick with us; you will not regret it.

As a club, we have all made friends for life. Becoming a representative of a sport or society at University is such an enormous and beneficial part of becoming a University of Portsmouth student. We offer fantastic opportunities within our sport; opportunities to coach, to improve your own skills on court and to socialise with other members of our club as well as others.

As our Intramural scheme has become so successful we, as a committee, invite you to help us maintain our recent and well deserved surge of success.

Welcome to our club.
